UWL Creative Career Fair: Prospective Volunteers Information

Hello! Thank you for your interest in Ezen Group which is comprised of three parts:

 

Ezen Foundation: The Foundation facilitates cultural exchange and the accessibility of art and culture, with a focus on Japan. Through social media, events, exhibitions, we have partnerships with museums, cultural organisations, educational institutions and businesses for creating bridges in cultural collaborations.

 

Ezen Designs and Ezen Trade: We specialise in cultural heritage designs, creating stationery and merchandise products available in our retail premises and supplied to museums and cultural heritage organisations across the UK and internationally. Through our graphic design team and our studio where we produce our works, our partners include internationally recognised organisations.

 

Japanese Gallery Angel: Operating for nearly 50 years, the Gallery is an established procurer and seller of affordable to museum-grade original antique and modern Japanese woodblock prints respected and recognised in the industry.

 

Who we’re looking for

 

Ezen Group is multifaceted, and we aim to give our interns the opportunity to test their strengths and try out something new. We have several internships roles available within our organisation, allowing interns to contribute to multiple areas across our Foundation, Design and Trade, and Gallery spaces. All roles offer the opportunity for those looking to gain skills and knowledge within film, media, design, and music curation.

 

We are looking for interns who want to gain professional experience working in and contributing to exciting projects ranging from videography, video editing, social media, graphic design and communication, events planning and promotion, and music curation. Interns should be eager to develop their professional experience, have strong attention to detail, and a willingness to share their project ideas.

School of Film, Media and Design

  • Videography and video editing
    • Capturing high-quality footage and photos from our events, exhibitions, and Gallery space for our social media and other promotional videos.
    • Editing footage and photos into engaging and on-brand video content to communicate and promote our events, exhibitions, and partnerships.
  • Graphic Design and Communication
    • Creating attractive graphic illustrations and retouching/editing images for our in-house design and trade businesses, utilising Adobe Suite.
    • Collaborating with business clients to create bespoke print product designs.
    • Researching upcoming exhibitions and compiling potential designs to instigate new, and support current, business partnerships.
  • Social Media, Advertising, and Communication
    • Writing attractive captions and sourcing high quality images for social media posts regarding Japanese art and event promotion.
    • Formulating a social media strategy to further engagement, foster new collaborations, and communicate the Ezen brand and ethos.

 

School of Music

  • Events
    • Selecting relevant and appropriate music for community events.
    • Setting up and managing audio systems for community events, such as our recent Friends of Camden Passage celebration.
  • Social Media
    • Curating music for promotional and social media videos.
    • Assisting in the creation of social media content with audio.
