Festival for Peace 2025

7th September 2025

Time: 11am-6pm (Parade at 5pm)

Location: Camden Passage and Angel Central, London N1

On 7th September 2025, we proudly hosted our Festival for Peace – a vibrant celebration coinciding with our exhibition From Ashes to Blossoms, marking 80 years since Hiroshima. The festival brought together people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures to honour the values of peace, resilience, and creativity through art, dance, music, and community.

Events took place across Camden Passage and Angel Central, filling the area with colour, music, and joyful activity.

The day was filled with energy, reflection, and unity. Highlights included:

  • Japanese Market – Visitors explored stalls filled with crafts, art, food, and cultural treasures, creating a lively atmosphere inspired by Japanese traditions.

  • Salsa Classes and Showcases – Latin rhythms lifted spirits at Angel Central, where participants learned new steps and watched dazzling performances, reminding us of the universal language of dance.

  • Classical Dance and Song – Performances of grace and harmony offered moments of reflection and beauty.

  • Origami Workshop – Guests folded paper cranes and flowers, symbols of peace and renewal, taking part in a quiet yet powerful shared experience.

  • Red Carpet Parade for Peace – Camden Passage came alive with colour as people of all backgrounds showcased their fashion, celebrating diversity and individuality under the banner of peace.

The Festival for Peace was more than just an event – it was a reminder of the power of community and creativity in building a more peaceful world.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us, supported us, and helped make this day a success.
